When you send a release to DSPs, it goes out as a complete package: all tracks are delivered to every platform you selected.
Now you can choose, track by track, whether to send it to the fingerprint DSPs that allow it: Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and YouTube Content ID.
If your EP or album includes tracks that aren't eligible for those DSPs, you can exclude them from delivery to those stores without affecting the rest of the tracks on the album.
Example
On a 10-track release, track #1 can't be sent to fingerprint because it uses an unlicensed sample, or its genre is "Meditation", or it's spoken-word content, etc. (Here's the full list of eligible content). So you exclude track #1 and the rest is distributed normally. All tracks will be sent to Meta and YouTube Content ID, except #1.
How to turn off fingerprint delivery for a track
In the release upload form, on the track tab, you'll see the "Allow fingerprint scanning" option, right next to the waveform. It's on by default. If you uncheck it, that track won't be delivered to or available on Meta or YouTube Content ID (it will still be available on YouTube Art Track, if you want).
Important:
TikTok, SoundCloud and Audible Magic also use fingerprint, but they don't allow track-level delivery. If a track isn't eligible, the only option is to remove those 3 DSPs from the entire delivery, which will leave out all the tracks on the release, not just the ineligible one.
