You can now customize the information displayed on YouTube “Topic” videos, enhancing your White-Label experience and giving greater visibility to your brand.

How to set it up in two simple steps:

👉 Only users with the "Admin" role in the White-Label account can configure this setting.

  • Go to the "Settings" section and click on the "Edit" icon.

  • Fill in the "Provided by" field with your desired text and save the changes.

💪 That’s it! From now on, all releases delivered to YouTube Art Track will display the custom text you entered.

How to add "Provided to YouTube by..." to your previous catalog:

  • Go to the "Albums" section and filter by Status > Sent. This will show only the releases that have already been distributed.

  • Click "Select All Matching".

  • Click "Select Action", then click "Update".

  • Click the small triangle icon.

  • Uncheck "All active stores" and select only "YouTube Art Track". Then click "Run Action".

💪 Done! Your previous catalog on YouTube Art Track will now be updated with the custom "Provided by" text you entered.

Text in Automatic Claims Is Not Editable

The “Provided to YouTube by…” feature is exclusive to YouTube Art Tracks and only appears on "Topic" videos delivered through that DSP.

However, for automatic claims made by YouTube on videos uploaded by artists, labels, or the general public (UGC), the text "Claimed by [Merlin] Limbo Music" or "Content owner: [Merlin] Limbo Music" will still appear. This is because YouTube automatically displays the name of the contract holder based on the DPID embedded in the asset’s metadata. This field is not editable.

This does not affect the White-Label experience for your clients. If needed, you can explain this in a way that aligns with your business model and strategic interests.

For example, you might say that you use our CMS or contracts to distribute to YouTube because we offer the best payment terms in the market. Alternatively, you can explain that YouTube only works with a small group of preferred partners - and limbo music is one of them.

  • The claim will appear as follows (though formatting may vary depending on the device or type of claim):
“Claimed by [Merlin] Limbo Music on behalf of ‘Label Name’”

  • In this case, the name that appears is the one entered in the "Label" field of the upload form for that track.

About the Notification Sent by YouTube

We understand the message from YouTube may be confusing, especially where it says: "This claim may affect your ability to monetize the video."

In fact, the opposite is true. The claim simply confirms that the video is being monetized on behalf of the asset owner and through our contract.

Neither the video nor the artist has infringed copyright, nor does it imply any bad practice or violation. It's a standard part of YouTube’s Content ID system.
